Uziel Diaz

I grew up in Seaside all my life, and I love this city and the surrounding area. It’s a blessing every day to wake up knowing I get to teach some of the best students around in one of the most beautiful areas in the world.

In my free time, I like to go hiking, running, and playing music with my buddies!

Favorite subject/ thing to teach

My favorite subject is math, especially with new material the students have never seen before. It’s amazing to see the students wrestle and persevere through problems together, especially when they incorporate the strategies that we’ve gone over in class! It’s especially gratifying when students in class are able to tell me about how they’re incorporating their new knowledge when they’re discussing saving and making money! #ChaChing

Most memorable experience at Del Rey Woods

My most memorable experience was learning to do the Macarena when I was in Ms. Galindo’s (now Orfield) class. I still know it!
